The Sandboy is a family run country pub just outside Kings Lynn in Bawsey.
We have 2 bars offering a range of drinks and refreshments including three guest real ales from Norfolk and East Anglia. Our pub also offers a distinctive food menu only using locally sourced ingredients.
There is a function room available for bookings that also host a range of evening entertainment throughout the week.
We are an ideal place to start and end a pleasant country walk, situated a stones throw from the Bawsey lakes and on the doorstep of the Norfolk countryside.

I could just sum this review up in one sentence and that would be “Don’t ever go to The Sandboy”.
As harsh as that might sound we had a terrible experience and WILL NOT ever return.
We heard that new people had taken over so decided to give them a chance, all I can say is the staff are extremely unprofessional, inexperienced and are more interested in drinking their own pints than serving any actual customers.
They state on their website that they “offer a distinctive food menu only using locally sourced ingredients”, well we didn’t see any of this. I actually think our meals were probably purchased from Iceland or some similar supermarket.
Good luck with the future Sandboy, because I believe your going to need it!
